BRANDON SHAFFER

LEAD PASTOR

 

Brandon and Tara have four children, Zac, Libbie, Joel, and Seth.  Brandon received his bachelor’s degree in Bible and Pastoral Ministry from Dallas Christian College and his master’s degree in Biblical and Related Studies from Abilene Christian University.  Originally from Bucklin, Kansas, Brandon has pastored churches in Texas and Missouri.  In addition to serving as Lead Pastor, Brandon leads the preaching team and oversees the Sunday Worship Gatherings.  He and Tara enjoy traveling and good barbeque.  Brandon has a passion for leadership and teaching.

JIM BEUKELMAN – SPIRITUAL FORMATION PASTOR

Jim and Bonnie have five children: Hannah, Jonathan, Elizabeth, Abigail, and Joseph. Jim grew up in Albuquerque before attending Dallas Christian College, receiving his degree in Bible and Pastoral Ministry in 2001. Jim pastored in Elk City and Hinton, Oklahoma prior to joining the staff at Valley View. Jim’s focus is on adult discipleship through small groups. In addition, he serves on the preaching team and oversees much of the day-to-day operation of the church. When not working, he enjoys basketball and hiking with his family.

KYLE WORLEY- NEXTGEN STUDENTS

Kyle and Hope have four children, Jordan, Elli, Theo, and Annabelle. Kyle received his bachelor’s degree in Bible and Youth/Family Ministry from Dallas Christian College. Kyle was born and raised in Dallas, Texas and has served churches in Texas and Oklahoma. In addition to serving as Student Pastor and part of the preaching team, he also helps with graphics and technology. Kyle desires each teen to develop a walk with Jesus Christ that is seen lived out in their daily lives. Kyle and Hope enjoy spending time with friends and family, watching movies, and going on date nights!

TIM CYPHERS – WORSHIP PASTOR

Tim and Ashley have three children – Peyton, Levi, and Ryann. Tim has an undergraduate degree in Bible & Youth Ministry and a Masters degree in Management and Leadership. Tim was born and raised in Virginia and served in ministries along the east coast before heading out west here to Valley View. Tim desires to help people take that next step to experience spiritual growth and Christ’s transforming power, and he believes that happens best within community living on mission. Tim oversees the teams heading up Sunday morning gatherings within the vision of the church and leaders, along with creating graphics, and helping maintain our online presence. When Tim is not at church or with his family you can find him loitering at Starbucks, or raining 3’s at the local gym.

CANDACE BELL – ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Candace and Dan have four children, Jonathan, Bethany, Samuel, and Sarah. In addition to her Admin Assistant role, she is involved in Women’s Ministry, Women’s Bible Study and the Missions Team. Candace is a missionary kid, born and raised in Brazil. She and Dan have 30 years of involvement in the Christian Camping Ministry. Currently they are involved with Camp Oro Quay where Dan works in Program and Development and Candace volunteers. In her free time, Candace enjoys reading, writing, and the outdoors.

PAUL KUEHNE – INVOLVEMENT DIRECTOR

Paul and Hope have five children and twelve awesome grandchildren. Prior to joining the staff at Valley View, he completed careers with the U.S. Army and Sandia National Laboratory. Paul earned a bachelor degree in Management and has master’s degrees in Human Resource Management and Industrial Engineering. Throughout their adult lives, he and Hope have been actively involved church and related activities. Paul has a passion for helping others reach their full potential in Christ through use of their gifts, talents, and abilities. He enjoys hunting, fishing and traveling with Hope.

SARAH SADLER – NEXTGEN KIDS

Sarah and Will have attended Valley View for over ten years. She joined the Valley View staff in 2015 to lead our children’s ministry. Sarah’s college studies focused on Elementary Education and Early Childhood Multicultural Education. Prior to joining our staff, she served in the children’s ministry and worked as a Preschool teacher for high-risk children. Sarah is honored to collaborate with parents in their children’s spiritual growth and development. She desires each of them to know that God loves them and made them with a purpose. When not working with children, Sarah and Will enjoy playing games with family and friends.
